Nike Shox remain on the upswing thanks to the continued prominence of Y2K fashion — a movement that has resonated most deeply with today’s mold-breaking youth. The 2000s won’t stay hot forever, but as long as they’re trending, we can count on Nike to keep pushing out Shox footwear at scale. As the first-ever Shox model, it’s only fitting that the Shox R4 has played a leading role in recent seasons, arriving in both OG colorways and all-new makeups like this flashy reflective look.
As shown in our hero image, the Shox R4 here features a reflective finish on the tongue, heel detailing, and the entirety of both side panels. There’s plenty to love in normal lighting as well, with the sneaker featuring “Obsidian” leather sidewalls and pebbled “Diffused Blue” leather further up. More “Diffused Blue” accents appear on the stitched Swoosh logos on both sides, as well as the Shox columns underfoot, while the lining arrives in a lighter “Aluminum” hue — ideal for styling with white socks. This is one of two reflective Shox R4s in Nike’s release queue, joined by a “Black/Seaweed” colorway reminiscent of the Northern Lights.
